Being a developer is constantly learning daily. That's the reason why this profession is exciting and demanding. Participating in relevant meetups and conferences is among the best methods to gain knowledge or learn about the existence of a range of new skills you'd like to master. It's also an excellent opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals in the community and enjoy an enjoyable time. In the year 2020, conferences were mainly canceled or only online. In 2021, local meetups and in-person events were beginning to pop up, and they could become more frequent in 2022. Some conferences are now being organized in a hybrid format, where attendees can choose to go to the event in person or stream an online translation, the latter being usually free. Furthermore, some online-only events offer a chance for those who cannot travel a great distance to take part. So, which is worth your time? 1. Flutter Europe

Why should you visit: This is the largest Flutter festival in Europe.

It's another event exclusively Flutter-related event, and it's a big one. Flutter Europe is led through European Flutter Communities. It's a method to connect people from all over the world together in one spot. The only language you'll hear on this site (apart from English and, naturally) would be Dart.

We last had Flutter Europe occur in January 2020 at the beginning of the year when the pandemic hadn't been officially announced. Our own Priit Latt was among the presenters and discussed Flutter and CI/CD. Typically, the conference runs for about two days, and an event is also an offline event. We'd like to see it be similar in 2022.

2. droidcon San Francisco

Location: San Francisco, USA

Pricing: To be determined

Why should you go to Droidcon is a comprehensive event that covers all aspects of Android and offers you the opportunity to interact with your fellow Android enthusiasts. It's an actual offline event in the end.

It's not the first time we've seen a droidcon happen this year. A different conference was held in London on October 28 (we attended! ), And droidcon Italy was online from the 11-12th of November.

The convention's name is a statement on its own: droidcon is predominantly an Android convention, and con is convention equally as it does conference, which means that there is plenty of socializing and hanging out with other people.

But droidcon isn't solely about chatting. It also will feature talks on some serious issues, such as what's coming up for Android and Kotlin, the latest programming methods, and more.

3. AltConf

Why should you visit: AltConf is a free, non-commercial crowd-driven iOS and macOS event.

AltConf is the abbreviation of AltConf and is short for Alternative Apple Developer Conference. It's a conference that's not a paid one. It's free, held next to the Apple WWDC, and with exact dates. In the end, if you're going to WWDC and why not go to AltConf in addition? It offers lots of information about making applications that work on macOS and iOS with two tracks that run over three full days. In 2019, the organizers launched an escape room that provides some entertainment. It could also be a fascinating method of connecting with new people.

Unfortunately, the last time AltConf took place was back in 2019 - as was the last time in-person WWDC. We're not sure whether there is any plan to return by 2022. However, we would like to think that it will, and you can always verify.

4. DevGAMM Fall

What is the location: Online

Cost: Free (BASIC ticket) or $149 (PRO ticket)

DevGAMM is a collection of events for both international and local The flagship conferences are taking place twice per year. The DevGAMM fall 2021 conference is among the most prestigious events that bring together thousands of people and speakers worldwide. At first, DevGAMM was primarily focused on mobile gaming. However, it has evolved to encompass various gaming-related topics, such as game design games, best practices in game development writing, narratives, publishing audio design, and much more.

Even if you're an expert in your area, there will be sessions that will present lots of new and intriguing information, mainly due to the vast pool of speakers and sponsors, including specialists in Microsoft, Rovio, Wargaming, etc. tinyBuild and many other well-known game developers.

DevGAMM The fall 2021 conference will be held on the Internet; two significant kinds of tickets will be available: BASIC and PRO. Let's take a look at something more significant. DeveloperWeek is not a gathering specifically for mobile developers, but all developers, including admins, solution engineers team leads, IT business managers. VR Blockchain, AI IoT, microservices, and, of course, plenty of mobile development-related content are available to help you.

The DeveloperWeek website boasts over 8,000 developers from more than 70 countries attending every major conference. In this year's edition, DeveloperWeek will be co-located with two additional shows: ProductWorld and CloudWorld purchasing a ticket for one conference grants access to the three. It's not expensive, but big-scale conferences are usually the case, mainly offline ones.

And DeveloperWeek will be an off-site event that runs for three days, with three days of additional time using an online platform. It is packed with material, including two offline hackathons and all the regular conference features ranging from career board meetings to after-party events.

6. Flutter Vikings

Location: Oslo, Norway + online

TRVEKVLT Flutter Development, anyone? Just kidding. The Flutter Vikings have an upbeat vibe. Its speaker list and the program are not yet completed. However, you can anticipate two tracks of high-quality talks about Flutter and Dart and a warm warm environment, and the most comfortable venue, Oslo's Felix Conference Center. The second track will be accessible to online participants for free!

7. iOS Conf SG

Location: Online

Pricing: $70 (early bird) $150 (after November 16) $ 220 for workshops + conference (early bird) as well as $350 for conference and workshops (after November 16).)

Why you should go: This conference has lots of Swift and iOS talks and sessions in SwiftUI and iOS security. With the number of Flutter and Android events, there will undoubtedly be one for iOS developers. There's the iOS Conf SG (SG is a reference to Singapore, where the conference is typically held even though it's scheduled to be online via Zoom in this particular year). The speaker's list includes educators who instruct iOS development and experts from famous companies who have created prevalent iOS applications (like Instagram, which, in case anyone is still alive, was initially an iOS-only app).

Additionally, there are also workshops which could be the most beneficial aspect of the conference. This year's workshop will be devoted to multiplatform development using SwiftUI, and the second will be focused on identifying weaknesses in iOS apps. It's being hosted by an industry expert who works for F-Secure, the InfoSec business F-Secure. Attending the sessions could be costly for those who develop for themselves. 8. React Summit

The location: Amsterdam, Netherlands + online

Why should you visit: React Summit is the most significant coming React event, featuring large sections devoted exclusively to React Native.

There aren't many events specifically related to React Native, with RNEU 2021 (React Native Europe) wrapping up in September of this year. It's not clear what time the next RNEU will be held shortly, but for now, React Native users could be able to shift their attention to the general React events. There are numerous. The larger the conference more likely it is that you'll discover something relevant to the topic of React Native, and React Summit is undoubtedly one of the most significant forthcoming events dedicated to React.

The entire event is streamed online. However, the opening day will feature an array of interactivity and entertainment. The offline event will draw around 1,500 people, while the online version will draw in a lot more (at the very least, as per the event's organizers). The price, however, is higher, but it's identical for in-person and online participants. Of course, the option of attending for free Call for Papers is open and will run until April 16.
